How Many Types of Cloud Computing

Although there are four types of cloud computing ,private clouds, public clouds, hybrid clouds, and multi clouds, there are three basic categories of cloud computing services such as Platforms, infrastructure, and software that are available as services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS).

Selecting a cloud type or cloud service is totally an individual choice. Make sure no two clouds even of the same sort are the same, and no two cloud services are employed to address the same sort. However, by being aware of the commonalities of each type of cloud computing, you can better get to consider how the limitations of each type of cloud computing and cloud service might affect your business.

What Is Cloud Service?

Cloud service is Infrastructure, platforms, or software in the cloud that is  hosted by a third party and made accessible to all customers online. In addition, As-a-Service solutions come in three primary categories: such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Each type enables the user data flow from front-end clients across the internet to the cloud service provider's systems and back, but they differ in the features which they offer.

Let’s discuss each category in depth.

IaaS

An IaaS provider manages your infrastructure, including your servers, network, virtualization, and data storage, over the internet for you.The infrastructure is effectively rented by the user, who gets access via an API or dashboard. The user is in charge of things like the operating system, applications, and middleware, while the provider is in charge of any hardware, networking, hard drives, data storage, and servers. The provider is also in charge of handling hardware problems, outages, and repairs. This is the standard deployment strategy used by cloud storage providers.

PaaS

PaaS refers to a cloud computing model in which an external service provider manages and provides the hardware and an application-software platform, but the user is responsible for the apps that run on top of the platform and the data those apps rely on. PaaS provides users with a shared cloud platform for application development and management, a crucial DevOps component, primarily for developers and programmers, without them having to create and maintain the infrastructure typically involved with the process.

SaaS

SaaS is a service that offers consumers access to a managed software program that is hosted in the cloud. The majority of SaaS apps are web or mobile applications that consumers can access through a web browser. The user connects to the cloud applications through a dashboard or API, and software upgrades, bug fixes, and other general software maintenance are taken care of for them. SaaS also gets rid of the requirement for local app installation on each user's computer, opening up more options for team or shared access to the software.
